Proof, not promises

Every one of these came out of my own archive — website and business projects I built for myself at some point in my life.

The store that got me off my feet, and the one thing here that is not a concept — it takes orders today. I run the business behind it, so I know what a site is actually for: sales, not decoration.

The internet runs on niche identity — everyone signalling exactly who they are. I wanted to build the absence of that. A landing page for an account that says nothing about itself: it sits under a near-opaque veil, and a soft field of visibility trails the cursor, so you search the page rather than read it. Minimal art, deliberate mystery.

I set out to open a burger van and ended up spending far more time on the website and the brand than on the burgers. One idea carries it: the bottom of the hero tears off and climbs over the burger as a till receipt, and the receipt is the menu — items, prices and a torn-off stub at the end. The menu on it is editable: a real CMS is wired into the receipt, so anyone who likes the design can open the editor and put their own menu on it.

A friend needed a website for their cleaning company, so I built the concept. They took it, rebranded and moved on elsewhere — I still wonder how they're getting on. What they had was two brands that didn't talk to each other: a hot-pink logo, and a folder of retro illustrations nobody had built a site around. The palette comes out of the artwork; the pink survives as the colour every button is.

This one was me chasing a good-looking site for its own sake — a gothic streetwear concept, because coming up with brand ideas is the part I genuinely love. It arrived as a logo, a folder of artwork and not one product photograph, so the shirts are drawn in SVG — three colourways, fold lines, the real logo files dropped in as the chest prints.

A brand idea that started with a name I liked the sound of: plushies sold in sets of four, like a merch drop. It had to look hand-made rather than templated, so every panel is drawn twice, the second outline offset like a sticker that missed. The four characters are SVG, not photographs, and hovering one repaints the page's border in its colour.

Everything I build starts the same way: a rough idea in someone's head. Bring me yours.

Got an idea?
Let's build it.

Tell me what you're imagining — rough is fine, technical terms optional. I read every brief myself and I'll come back with questions, thoughts and an honest take on the best way to build it. No sales team, no hand-offs — you're talking to the person who'll actually build it.

Fill in the brief and it comes straight to me.

Do not send anything now — just tick what exists. I will ring and sort the easiest way to get it over to me.

Comes straight to me. Nothing is stored on this site.

✓︎ Got it — that has landed in my inbox. I will come back to you today, or first thing tomorrow.
